Now, the problem lies in the 4th part of this equation. If you follow the first 3 steps above, you are bound to make more affiliate commissions than just sending cold traffic to a sales page. If you are however serious in making those big affiliate commissions, it all lies in the follow up.
Now, when writing emails, you will want to follow a few set of rules:

Unless you are a solo ad vendor seller and you want to garner more clicks, then go ahead, use those spammy headlines because it just does not matter.
If you are aiming to make more affiliate commissions with your own email list, you should however avoid sending those “You are going to make $10,000 per month with this method” kind of emails. You will be making people unsubscribe pretty quickly and you can say goodbye to your affiliate commissions

You want to keep the ratio of value to promo at 50/50 or maximum 60/40 🙂
